The scale\, complexity and sophistication of these ML technologies have also increased considerably over the last few years. \nThe in-person meeting will provide an up-to-date snapshot of the state of the art in this rapidly evolving field. It will also be a forum of discussion and interaction among scientists and practitioners about the current opportunities and challenges presented by the use of ML technologies for Earth system observation and prediction. \nThe workshop will discuss hybrid ML-physics based systems and end-to-end ML approaches for data assimilation and weather and climate prediction. It will explore new ways to apply ML to Earth system observations and examine how high performance and emerging computing technologies can accelerate these applications. Participants will also look at the role of ML in building digital twins of the Earth system and share strategies to make these models more accurate and efficient. \nRegistration for in person participation closes on 31 January.
